Responsible for the administration and tax returns of the creative freelancer.

Kees de Boekhouder consists of a team of bookkeepers, marketeers, an IT & HR department.
Together we work from different locations in the Netherlands to support creative entrepreneurs and their business.
We do this from our HQ in the center of Amsterdam, an office in Rotterdam overlooking the entire city and a picturesque building on the Oudegracht in Utrecht. We always strive to be the best at what we do.
Within our team you work closely with your colleagues, but each knows his or her responsibility.
The atmosphere in the office is important to us and is relaxed.
We close two quarters with quarterly drinks at our offices and twice a year we have a big staff event.

About you

You enjoy working with numbers and learning new things.
Interest in the cultural and creative sector is a big plus.
You enjoy working in a close-knit team, but can also work independently.
You have an HBO-/WO-background and you speak and write Dutch fluently.
Furthermore, you are structured and inquisitive and are looking for a fun job for 32 hours per week.

Your role

After an internal traineeship as Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for our clients’ administration and tax returns.
You will do this with an online accounting system that we have developed and manage in-house.
During an induction period of several months we will teach you to work with this system.
You can see this as a traineeship, in which you gradually learn everything about the accounting profession and after which you start working with your own clientele of creative entrepreneurs and freelancers.
From then on, you will be their first point of contact within Kees de Boekhouder.
You help them through:

Working with our online accounting system and giving them feedback on it

02

Audit their records (income and expenses)

03

Prepare the income statement and balance sheet

04

Complete and submit tax returns

05

Answer financial questions
